Una famiglia allargata

   Lo staff di Amici dei Bambini propone alcuni pezzi dell’intervento sul sostegno a distanza nel corso del Convegno “lo scandalo del Dono” a CERVIA 07.
Vogliamo dare alcuni spunti ai nostri “lettori” e sostenitori per dire come la pensano sul concetto di accoglienza a distanza e sull’ “adozione spirituale”.

[...] Un bambino abbandonato è un bambino senza relazioni con persone adulte, senza riferimenti costanti, senza amore. Un bambino sospeso nel vuoto che ha paura di Amare perché non sa cosa significa essere amati.
Ogni bambino e adolescente abbandonato quindi, chiama in causa la nostra paternità spirituale, cioè l’assunzione di responsabilità a favore di altri, il senso di responsabilità (anche se non colpevole comunque sono responsabile del suo abbandono, in quanto membro della società) per la vita di un bambino e promuoverla. 
Se la vita di un bambino abbandonato non viene “promossa” alimentata con la speranza, rischia di perdersi morire. Occorre un atto di “fede” per portare la speranza: credere che via sia la luce nonostante alla tenebre; credere che “anch’io, nonostante l’abbandono, potrò, un giorno essere accolto come figlio”. 

[...] In sostanza che cos’è la paternità spirituale?
È credere nella speranza di vita di un bambino/adolescente abbandonato e farsi carico responsabilmente del suo progetto di vita, del suo futuro. È un impegno quindi a farmi carico del suo destino per tentare quanto meno di cambiarlo.
Il Sad diventa cosi una vera e propria relazione di “genitorialità spirituale” da avverare una sorta di adozione, assolutamente non giuridica, né legale, ma affetto spirituale. io Credo nella speranza del tuo futuro e lo accolgo: questo è adozione spirituale.

Le difficoltà dei genitori spirituali.
[...] Come si fa? Quali le difficoltà? Quale la consapevolezza?
Sono moltissime infatti le difficoltà che affronta un sostenitore per diventare una persona che fa accoglienza a distanza, che riesce ad allargare i propri confini affettivi….. il confine è sottile ma chi lo varca non vuole più tornare indietro.
I sostenitori devono abbattere tanti muri.
Il primo fra tutti è quello dello sposare l’accoglienza come filosofia di vita. Sappiamo tutti benissimo quanto è impegnativo accogliere in tutte le sue forme. Non ci dilunghiamo sulle altre, ma parliamo di questa che è “speciale”.
Infatti è la forma meno concreta e diretta di accoglienza che esista.
Si accolgono parenti, amici, animali domestici ecc…. ma con queste forme di accoglienza c’è qualcosa di concreto su cui basarci, su cui confrontarci, che “ingombra” il nostro spazio vitale in qualche modo anche dal punto di vista fisico.

[...] E i figli spirituali?
 Il minore accolto a distanza invece è solo un pensiero che è sempre nell’aria, che può diventare concreto solo con la forza della nostra fede e con la fantasia della nostra immaginazione.
Dobbiamo tener presente che nel nostro caso non si vive nemmeno la stessa vita, nello stesso posto, con gli stessi usi, tradizioni e culture e soprattutto che questo non succederà mai… non ci sono speranze in questo senso.
Ma la cosa più importante…quella che fa passare il limite, che ti trasforma da sostenitore a persona che accoglie è essere consapevoli di stare accogliendo un bambino o un adolescente a tutti gli effetti. 

[...] Capire che grazie al sostenitore il bambino si sente accolto, amato, si interessa di più alla scuola, sa per la prima volta nella sua vita (nella maggior parte dei casi di bambini in istituto) che c’è un adulto di cui potersi fidare, non ha cose terribili da gridare ad alta voce, ne violenze e frustrazioni da riversare su di loro.
E gli effetti del padre e la madre spirituale sul bambino sono immediati. Perché immediato è il recupero della speranza.
“Finalmente sono importante per qualcuno anch’io”, finalmente qualcuno sa che esisto, mi scrive, mi pensa, mi tutto e non vuole niente in cambio……..

In fondo le distanze non sono un problema…. Ce lo insegna la tecnologia che ci permette di ricevere messaggi in tempo reale, ce lo insegnano i genitori adottivi e i loro figli che nonostante migliaia di Km di distanza riescono a trovarsi e diventare una famiglia, ci aiutano aerei, navi, e automobili che rendono Paesi lontani a volte molto più vicini di quello che crediamo…….

	a seguire alcuni esempi di testimonianza di accoglienza a distanza e di adozione spirituale: Una famiglia allargata: il sostenitore è marocchino, vive in Italia e si occupa del sostegno economico e di scrivere lettere e mandare regali…… ma il padre del sostenitore vive in Marocco e il bambino è diventato il suo “nipotino”. Lo va a trovare ogni settimana in istituto, quando può lo porta fuori a fare passeggiate e sono ormai diventati inseparabili. Il futuro nello studio La Colombia invece ci sorprende in altro modo. Una famiglia , leggendo la storia di un ormai giovane uomo ( 19 anni ) che da sempre solo in istituto, voleva studiare all’università, ha deciso di prendersi carico di questo “figlio” e dei suoi studi. Come ogni genitore responsabile ha deciso che la vita di X poteva cambiare, che lui meritava il meglio, che il suo futuro poteva essere diverso…. Che al suo fianco si sarebbero potute fare “COSE GRANDI”. E cosi sta succedendo….. Una gamba e una vita nuova La signora Novella, invece ha fatto del suo meglio! Per un estate intera ha dato ripetizioni private nonostante fosse in pensione. Alla fine dell’anno aveva tutti i soldi necessari per regalare “una gamba” nuova alla sua Mariana che ora finalmente in Moldavia può ancora camminare. La sorpresa di un viaggio Per non parlare di Eugenio:la storia delle coincidenze: La nonna materna che lo ha allevato si chiamava Carla come una delle nostre vecchie case famiglia in Romania. Decide quindi di sostenere quel paese e quando a casa gli arriva la scheda del bambino scopre che Leonard è nato il 20/07......-“ E’ nato il suo stesso giorno!!! A Natale gli regala la divisa dello Steaua!!!! E a Pasqua. Leo gli manda gli auguri con un biglietto: “.....Ti aspetto in Romania.”. Questo lo fa commuovere e accetta l’invito e a sorpresa passerà le sue prime vacanze dopo tantissimo tempo a Bucarest con il suo nuovo amico… Una adozione al telefono E infine la signora Carmela, nonna a distanza di WILFREDO, un ragazzo di 18 anni boliviano….. grazie a un sistema telefonico molto sofisticato siamo riusciti a fare una telefonata a tre. La signora da Brescia parlava con Freddy il traduttore a La Paz che contemporaneamente riusciva a tradurre tutto per Wilfredo a Potosi sulle Ande…anche in questo caso le emozioni sono state tantissime anche per l’intermediario. Un matrimonio indimenticabile. Un sostenitore della Moldavia ha potuto condividere un momento speciale: è stato invitato al matrimonio della sua “Elena”. Momento importante che nessun padre vorrebbe mai perdere…appena tornato da tre giorni di festeggiamenti ha descritto l’esperienza come indimenticabile. Una poesia scritta dalla nostra sostenitrice Liana: HO VISTO UN BAMBINO Ho visto un bambino per ore giocare da solo, ho visto dei bimbi riunirsi con un gioco solo. So di bambini amati e più spesso viziati, so di bambini abbandonati e a volte dimenticati. Ho visto l’amore sprecato in cose senza cuore, ho visto bambini elemosinare un po’ d’amore. Ho udito bambini giocare alla guerra, ho udito la guerra dilaniare bambini. Ho sentito un bambino lagnarsi perché si annoiava, ho sentito di un bambino picchiato perché non lavorava. Ho visto un bambino gettare il cibo perché non gli piaceva, ho visto un bambino morire di fame perché non ne aveva. Vorrei un giorno vedere un mondo d’amore, vorrei vedere gli uomini ragionare con il cuore. Salviamo i bambini sono il nostro futuro, aiutiamoli a crescere in un mondo sicuro. Amarli non vuol dire viziarli, salvarli non vuol dire comprarli. Vorrei vedere un bambino diventare un adulto, un uomo di pace, un uomo più giusto. Liana

Vorrei sapere se è possibile mandargli anche dei doni tramite corriere, magari un gioco o dei libri. Il bimbo è piccolo, ma credo che per lui sarebbe una gioia. 	Buongiorno Luana e prima di tutto grazie per l’interessamento. Le confermo la possibilità di inviare regali al bambino. Ai bambini fa davvero piacere ricevere dei pensieri dai propri sostenitori. Di solito valutiamo insieme ai nostri sostenitori se vale la pena comprare in Italia i regali e inviarli tramite corriere o posta, o fare un versamento sul conto utilizzato per le quote del SAD e comprare il regalo direttamente in loco. La invito comunque a mettersi in contatto con noi per i dettagli di entrambe le soluzioni. Anche in questi giorni l’ufficio SAD sarà coperto e pronto a rispondere a qualsiasi suo dubbio.
